Placeholder Gameworks is a small indie game studio and we love to make games that matter to people. We also want to respect everyone’s privacy! Thus, we do not collect any kind of personal data and do not plan to do so. We do not ask our players to provide personal data, nor do we use any third party tools to determine this whatsoever. While the game engines or other software libraries we use may offer personal data services, we do not use them.
Unity Engine
For our mobile games, we use the Unity engine as our development platform and Unity Analytics to determine the metrics of players playing our games.

The data we collect is what actions players take within our games that use the Unity Engine, such as Death and Taxes and Broken Alliance. None of this information can ever be matched to a specific user.
PlayFab
We use PlayFab to collect data about which endings our players have unlocked. We do not collect any personal data through PlayFab nor offer any option to do so through PlayFab.

To speed up our development of games, we have opted to use game engines. One of these is the Unity Engine, and we use this for our mobile game releases. This game engine requires technical data about the player’s device to work, which includes the manufacturer, hardware components, device and network identifiers and the system language. This technical data is sent to Unity and accumulated in statistics, which are publicly available. The game or our company has no control over how Unity uses such information, yet it is also anonymous. The same goes for any third-party software, such as PlayFab, which we also use. We are committed to not collecting any personal data whatsoever as we are against companies and corporations selling people’s personal information.
